Elizabeth Jane Hurley has been a model and actress in the United Kingdom since the early 1980s. In the year 1990 it was reported that she could have been Hugh Grant's girlfriend. In the 1990s, when Grant was the center of media attention due to his international box-office success in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hurley accompanied Grant in a plunged black Versace dress that was secured by silver safety pins. She gained instant fame in the media. Hurley's association with Estee Lauder, a cosmetics producer, is regarded as a defining moment in her career. Hurley got her first modeling job with the company in the year she turned 29 years old. The company has since employed Hurley as a model for their products specifically for perfumes including Sensuous Intuitions and Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington is her best well-known role in the Mike Myers spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me The Spy Who Shagged Me (1998), both that were a huge success. Hurley has been modeling and designing an eponymous beachwear line. Perry's attempts to gain popularity in the mainstream were unsuccessful. Prior to any new music was released the two major labels had signed and dropped Perry. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. The track that was the title track was a cheerfully flippant song that attracted minimal attention. "I Kissed" a Girl was a more aggressive ode to sexism, with a sharp edged electro-pop rhythm. This song sparked controversy, many critics claiming it of promoting homosexual relationships, and some asserting that the explicit sexual situation depicted in the song was intended to appeal to the male fantasies. The combination of sensuality, polished music and a catchy chorus helped it become a top-ten hit in a variety of countries. The result was an album called One of the Boys (2007) being a big success. Hot N Cold is a well-known second track. Perry also wrote a large portion of the lyrics on the album.
